AMC Announces major technology upgrades

Ashley Medical Center has made more than $400,000 in medical advancements in recent months.
 
The hospital was awarded a $376,900 grant from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust in November for a new Siemens CT Scanner. The old machine was leased.
 
AMC is one of 37 facilities across the region and one of five in North Dakota to get grants for CAT scanners.
 
The Rural Healthcare Program of the Helmsley Charitable Trust set aside $14 million for the digital scanners in a seven-state region that also includes South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Minnesota, Iowa and Montana.
