Ashley Fire Protection District Chief Link Golz presented plaques to Jim Delzer (right) and Herbert Arnold for their years of service at the annual meeting, held Jan. 31 at City Hall.

Arnold retired in 2007, after serving 27 years.

Delzer retired last year, after serving more than 36 years. Of those years, several were spent as assistant fire chief and five years as fire chief.

Several other members have retired from the department, but were not present to receive their plaques.
