The second and final reading of a new shipping container ordinance was approved at the Feb. 13 regular meeting of the Ashley City Council.

The new ordinance is an addition to one already listed in the City Code.

A building permit is required for construction within the city limits.

The new ordinance addresses the use of shipping containers in the community.
