There was a strong Wishek connection during the recent graduate school commencement program at the University of North Dakota.

Emilee Rath and Michael Thurn earned their MOT degrees this year.

"I had the pleasure of serving as the graduate advisor in Occupational Therapy at UND for Emilee and Michael as they fulfilled the graduate requirements for the Department of Occupational Therapy in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at UND," said Wishek native Sonia Breitling Zimmerman.

Zimmerman is a 1972 graduate of Wishek High School. Rath graduated from WHS in 2011, and her father, Myron Huber, in 1989. Thurn's mother, Sharlene Thurn, also is a Wishek native and a 1983 alum.
