McIntosh County commissioners have settled on a contractor for a proposed road shop.
At a July 16 special meeting, commissioners Steve Delzer, Perry Turner and Neil Meidinger voted to accept a proposal from Pinke Lumber, of Wishek.
"What we have decided on is a 72-by-96 building, with cold storage and power," said Delzer in a follow-up interview.
The current road shop complex, north of Ashley, has become outdated.
Modern equipment tends to be larger and the shop can no longer effectively accommodate it.
