Cole Ketterling, of Wishek, has been selected as the winner of the state Star Farmer award by the North Dakota FFA.

Ketterling, son of Kermit and Dynette Ketterling, was among four finalists for the honor. The others are Cierra Dockter, of Medina; Brandon Hoyme, of Kindred; and Monica Schmitz, of Harvey.

The announcement of Ketterling as the winner was made June 7 at the North Dakota FFA State Convention in Fargo.

Ketterling graduated last month from Wishek High School. He has been an FFA member since his 7th grade year.

Cole's father, Kermit, also was a state Star Farmer award winner. Cole's siblings, Taylor and Brenna, were active FFA members.
