The South Border girls’ basketball team played two games last week and split the difference with a loss to Linton and a win over Lisbon. Turnovers were the difference between the win and the loss.

Mustang boys qualify for State Golf Tournament

South Border has qualified for the state Class B boys golf tournament. The Mustangs scored a runner-up team finish at the Region 1 tourney May 21 in Napoleon. South Border was led by Mark Jochim, who shot an 82, followed closely by David Jochim, with an 86.

Dockter places seventh in javelin at state

Sophomore Faith Dockter turned in a place-winning performance for South Border during the state Class B track and field meet over the weekend at the Bismarck Community Bowl. Dockter was seventh in the girls javelin, with a throw of 114 feet, 3 inches.
