Sixth-graders at Ashley Public School showed major support to one of their classmates this past week.

When classmates of Kaylee Quam found out their friend was admitted to Mayo Clinic, they knew they had to do something to give back and show their support.

The kids organized a "Cookies For Kaylee" fundraiser. Approximately 1,400 handmade sugar cookies were made by Dawn Goehring, with the help of the class and other volunteers.

The cookies were sold for $5 on Thursday at the school. Orders also were taken and delivered to businesses in Ashley, Wishek and Lehr.
