The flu bug has reared its ugly head and has had dozens of school students in Ashley and Wishek, missing from the classroom.

“It has hit more students in the high school than it has in the elementary," said Ashley superintendent Jason Schmidt.

"I would say that on Monday and Tuesday, approximately 15 percent of K-12 grades, were out.

On Wednesday, it was about 20 percent and, on Thursday, about eight or  or nine percent, so it is getting better.”
