The Ashley School Board's biannual long-term strategy session provided a mixed bag of projections on April 11. The strategy session preceded the board's monthly meeting.

While the population of Ashley continues to drop "an estimated 700 in 2016" projected enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year at 144, up 4 from this year and up 25 from the 2015-2016 school year.

At the current per-pupil payment from the state of North Dakota, of $9646, that's about a $240,000 swing.
