The Wishek School Board is still formulating a plan to bring the preschool program back. The program was on hiatus this school year for lack of an instructor. Preschool has been funded through a partnership between the school and a group of parents who raise funds to help cover the cost.
At the board's regular monthly meeting on May 14, the board discussed potential hours and days of operation, staffing, and a possible cap on enrollment at 20 students. The issue of tuition was also raised, but lacking a budget for the program, Missy Kaseman-Wolf said, “I don't know how we can make this decision without more information.” She expressed concerns about increasing the amount of projected deficit spending.
