Authorities are investigating a bomb threat at Wishek Public School Wednesday that resulted in an evacuation and lock down.

Wishek Police Chief Andy Tunheim said the threat reported by someone who was concerned by something another party said.

The threat was announced through an emergency messaging system that said, "Wishek Public School received information at approximately 3:47 pm about a possible bomb threat towards the school. Law enforcement has been notified and are now investigating the situation. We will provide further details when we have been instructed to do so."
