A host of festivities were part of the 'Kickoff to Summer,' sponsored over the weekend by the Wishek Association of Commerce.

Events included the Colbie Fandrich Scholarship fundraiser; a kiddie carnival, with games, face-painting and a bouncy house; an open mic talent show; and a co-ed softball tournament.

Among the many other attractions were citywide rummage sales; a car show; a concert, featuring Fargo-based "October Road"; a community church service; and a breakfast coordinated by the Mustang Wrestling Booster Club.
