The Wishek and Ashley school boards met in joint session last week to discuss matters related to the South Border co-op.
Board members from the two schools routinely get together a couple of times each year to focus on co-op concerns. The latest meeting was held March 28 in Wishek.
Curt Meidinger, president of the Wishek board, said he has been in discussions with officials from BEK Communications Cooperative regarding a new broadcast rights agreement for South Border games that are held in Wishek.
A previous agreement was terminated in September and BEK Sports did not carry any South Border games from Wishek during the 2016-17 season.
Meidinger said contract language is being finalized and reviewed. The new deal should be ready soon for consideration by the Wishek School Board, he said.
