City Council members have approved pay increases for Wishek city employees.

A motion approved at the council's July 3 regular meeting grants a three-percent raise to full-time employees and a two-percent hike to part-time personnel.

Council member Katie Pinke, who made the motion, said she is more comfortable with across-the-board raises than with granting or denying them to each individual employee.

The raises will take effect with the July payroll period.
