There are only a few people who can celebrate retiring from a job at the same location after 50 years.
Even fewer who say they love the job at the end of their career as much as they did in the beginning.
Marjorie Baumann, X-ray supervisor at Ashley Medical Center, is a member of that elite club.
Baumann knew at a young age what she wanted to do after she graduated from high school. After receiving her lab and x-ray training at the Minneapolis Medical Institute of Minnesota, she never looked back.
Feb. 6, 1967 is still vivid to Baumann. It was her first day on the job at Ashley’s hospital.
