Taxable sales and purchases in McIntosh County showed a healthy increase during the third quarter of last year.
State Tax Commissioner Ryan Rauschenberger reports the county boasted a total of $7,056,918 in taxable sales and purchases during the months of July, August and September, up by 16.39 percent over the same period in 2016.
Taxable sales and purchases in Wishek were $5,098,231, an increase of 16.74 percent from $4,367,157 in the third quarter of the previous year.
Meanwhile, Ashley was at $1,774,429, up 15.56 percent from $1,535,525.
Rauschenberger says North Dakota showed a slight increase in its statewide figures.
Taxable sales and purchases for July, August and September of 2017 were nearly $4.731 billion, a 2.3 percent gain over those months in 2016.
