Esther C. Fiechtner, 100, Wishek, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at Wishek Living Center. Funeral services were held Oct. 31 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, with Pastor Kristin Schwan, officiating. Esther Caroline Schlecht was born Nov. 21, 1915 at the family farm home, north of Fredonia, the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Dalke) Schlecht. Esther attended the local rural school, near Gackle, where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood ... A memorial service for Herbert “Herbie” Vossler, 84, Eureka, South Dakota, was held Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at Avera Eureka Health Care Center Chapel.  Rev. Lloyd Miller officiated. Burial was in St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek. Herbie died Oct. 19 at Avera Eureka Health Care Center. Herbert Alvin Vossler, son of Jacob and Eva (Becker) Vossler, was born Nov. 8, 1931 at Eureka.  His family lived in Zeeland.  His mother died in 1944 and his family eventually moved to Wishek.  Later, Herbie lived with his aunt and uncle, Christ and Mary Vossler.  In 1972, Herbie moved to Eureka.
